 Ad·di·son's dis·ease  Med. A morbid condition causing a peculiar brownish discoloration of the skin, hypotension, and loss of weight; it is due to insufficient secretion of adrenocortical hormones. Untreated disease is usually fatal.  Called also chronic adrenocortical insufficiency
