 Scud v. i. [imp. & p. p. Scudded; p. pr. & vb. n. Scudding.]
 1. To move swiftly; especially, to move as if driven forward by something.
    The first nautilus that scudded upon the glassy surface of warm primeval oceans.   --I. Taylor.
